Meet the Goss Accountants Team

Danny Goss CPA

Danny is the founder of Goss Accountants having set the business up in 1996. Prior to this Danny worked in partnership in a previous accounting practice in Morwell and before that as an employee accountant.

Prior to 1986 Danny worked as a Financial Planner, small business owner and his first employment was as a teacher. He has worked for himself in one way or another since he was 23.

Danny is a Certified Practising Accountant (CPA), a Specialist Self-Managed Superannuation Adviser (SMSF Association) and a Licensed Financial Planner (Count Financial).

He also specialises in Taxation, Business and Property advice, and Xero and MYOB accounting software. He is married with three adult children and is a lifelong Gippsland resident.

Danny also serves as a Councillor for Baw Baw Shire Council and is a member of that Shires Audit Committee.

Margaret Cornell

Margaret has been the front of office person at our business for over 15 years. She manages all of the office, client administration and reception at Goss Accountants.

Margaret manages all of our corporate registers and ASIC requirements. She also looks after all of our ATO lodgement matters and client liaison with the ATO.

Hayden Somerville B.Bus CPA

Hayden began his career at Goss Accountants back in 1997 having previously begun his career at Planned Financial Services which was acquired by Goss Accountants.

He is now our senior associate with specific expertise in salary packaging & Fringe Benefits Tax, small business taxation and advice.

Hayden is a Certified Practising Accountant (CPA).

Hayden specialises in taxation, salary packaging and FBT, business advice, Xero, Reckon and MYOB accounting software.

Christine Phillipou B.Bus

Chris is the newest member of the team and was recruited as an Accountant.

She has almost finished her second degree and will soon embark on her CPA studies.

She has a Business degree from Monash University and holds professional membership as a Certified Professional at the Australian Human Resource Institute.

With ten years as a Business Manager, Chris has extensive knowledge in Accounting, Finance and Bookkeeping.

She manages all of our Activity Statement needs.

She also prepares small business accounts and assists clients with bookkeeping and accounting issues as well as advising clients on taxation issues- including tax return preparation.
